Black Estate is a family owned vineyard located in Waipara Valley, 45 minutes north of Christchurch. Much of its market consisted of lively restaurants, bars and fine wine shops located in the Christchurch CBD or Sumner. Its people, vineyard and shed are not damaged but many of its Christchurch customers are, significantly effecting trading.Our wines are hand crafted using artisan techniques and a dedication to creating intense Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling, completely expressive of its site. Black Estate won the Trophy Pinot Noir at the International Wine and Spirit Competition Trophy in 2010.
